Lead Risk Reduction Strategy For Consumer Products

Lead Risk Reduction Strategy For Consumer Products

Lead is a metal which is highly toxic, especially to children. The Consumer Product Safety Bureau of Health Canada has developed the Lead Risk Reduction Strategy (LRRS), which proposes regulatory controls on the lead content of certain groups of consumer products with which children are likely to interact. The Bureau has recently initiated stakeholder consultations with industry, public health groups, and for other interested parties. This package has been sent to a variety of stakeholder groups across Canada.
